Stubbs. Jesse H. was born apx. 1802 in Virginia. The county of his birth is unknown. He came to the county in apprx. 1832. His sons Jesse Jr. and Richard were both confederate soldiers in the civil war. Richard Stubbs died on the battlefield. He also had a son, William Henry b. 1842...who was my great great grandfather. His son Johnnie Stubbs, was my great grandfather. Any information you might have, regarding the Stubbs family in Spotsylvania, would be much appreciated!
