Does anyone have any information on this family? Hiram is my great grandpa and besides him I cannot seem to track his family down very well. Hiram's family was in Harlan Co., Ky in the 1870 census but in the 1880 census it seems only he and his brother Jacob are there. I cannot find any of his other family members in the 1880 census nor have I been able to keep tabs on Jacob after the 1880 census. Hiram's father James seems to be very elusive. Thank you Joanne for your reply. I did find a Land Warrant issued to him for service in the Rev. War on line. Now I need to track that down and see if he ever used it. Good luck with your research.
