I was hoping that I could get to the bottom of this but my grandfather had told me a story about how we where related to Thomas Nelson and He just pasted away Feb 16,2008 and I never got to see all the paper work that he had on the family lineage. He had something from the 100th anniversary of the signing of the declaration and I do not know where it is now. That showed that we are related to Thomas Nelson. Thank you again and good luck with your searching I know how hard it is to look up the native american side of the family. I have a decent amount of information on George that may help: I believe George came from Grodno, Russia, according to my father. George married my great grandmother - ANNA SVERCHEK (b. 1896 - d. ?) - in 1918 in Richmond, Virginia. Children from this marriage include sons: Frank, William, and my grandfather, Andrew. George was buried at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Richmond City, Virginia, according to Virginia death records. I have very little information of my great grandmother - ANNA SVERCHEK (spelling may not be correct) - except that she came from Austria-Hungry. Any information or ideas on locating the parents of George and/or on Anna S. would be greatly appreciated. Thomas and Lucy Grymes did have 11 children. They are: William, Thomas, Phillip, Francis,Hugh, Elizabeth, Mary, Lucy,Robert, Susanna and Judith. Sorry no Agnes. There are 3 mentions of a Agnes Nelson listed in this book "Descendants of Thomas Nelson". They are: Agnes Thurston Nelson, daughter of William Wilmer Nelson and Sarah Berkeley Brown Catlett. This William is 4th from Thomas through his son William. Agnes Robinson Nelson, born 1860, daughter of William Armistead Nelson MD. and Mary Robinson Moncure. This William is 4th from Thomas through his son Thomas. Agnes Robinson Nelson daughter of William Nelson, born 1860 and married Randolph Miller. As for William Smith: William, son of Wright O. Smith and Susan Geyer **** William Dickinson Smith married Agnes Pickett Williams. Had a daughter 1899 Agnes Williams Smith. William Dickerson Smith married Laura Dame William Edward Smith maried Charlotte Nelson Page William Thomas Nelson Smith married Elizabeth Fuqua. William Nelson married Mary Taliaferro Hope this helps in some small way. This book is incomplete with not all lines completed. I too have a connection with this family, but I think because he married a native american we became "the Black Sheep" line and it isn't clear just where we fit in, but I think it is Nathaniel. I have been looking for my family lineage for a while now and I am having a hard time. I was told that Thomas Scotch Nelson is related to our family. Tom Scotch Nelson married Margaret Reade Their son William Nelson married Elizabeth Burwell Their son Thomas Nelson the signer married Lucy Grymes this is where I can not connect the family. I was told that they had 13 children only 11 survived and 1 of the 11 children was Agnes Nelson who married William Smith. Would you be able to look it up and see if that is true for me. I have looked up all their children and traced back to William and Agnes living in Pennsyvania in 1800 with 6 children. I hope that you can help me thank you for your time. 3. Okay - you typed in your names - and then it gave you a list, 10 to a page, with a small synopsis of what was there right? Okay - now comes the tricky part somewhere on that page is a dark blue highlight of the name - (though the second time I was there, it didn't do it and I had to use their search feature to make it happen) - the highlight comes after the page is pulled up - if you can't see it right away hit the search button again and try to tell where it shows up. I hope that helps Julie Debbie <debbiemcnabb@sbcglobal.net> wrote: I went to the website but nothing I clicked on came through. Lots of articles of my family though. Am I doing something wrong? I've been looking for this information for years. If anyone has details on Jacob and Elizabeth, please let me know.
