    3. Hello, all of the good suggestions made me experiment and see what I could do. I went to my Windows Explorer program in Win 98 and opened it and displayed a list of all photos in a folder. I copied all of the files by highlighting them and clicking on the copy button. Next, I have a shareware program called ClipCachePlus described below with the download link. ClipCache is a great utility to keep on your desktop. Anytime you use the "copy" function, it is automatically stored in the Clip Cache. If you need to use it you can then click the ClipCache icon and click on the "Clean Up Text" icon. It will then present the cleaned up text in accordance with how you set it up as defaults earlier. You then close it and use your regular "Paste" command into your word processor like WordPad. You could also past it into a spreadsheet as well if you wanted to do more with it. You can now use your wordprocessor to annotate the file listing as desired. It is a lot simpler to use than my words would lead you to believe. I use it all the time to remove the carrots (>>>>) marks in front of text in e-mail messages, etc. It only takes a couple of seconds. You might want to try it. George ClipCache Plus is an easy to use and powerful clipboard extender and a whole lot more! It monitors clipboard activity and aids not only in the management of saved clips, but in cleaning up and modifying those clips in many, many useful ways. Now you can copy and store clips from emails or webpages and remove the annoying ">>>>" marks or huge gaps and spaces left when copying from webpages constructed with webtables. http://www.xrayz.co.uk/ At 10:02 AM 8/7/01 -0400, you wrote: >Hello all, > I'm not sure that this is pertinent, but there is a simple way to index >photos on a CD. >I have scanned & burned to CD about 500 images in connection with my >genealogy research and wanted a simple hard copy of the various files on >each disk.
