Hi Jay, I have one question not related to the surname. How did you get any documents from Tennessee????? When I tried to get a death and marriage certificate, they told me they did not start keeping records until the 1900s. This was also true for Gibson County, Tenn. which is where I am really interested in. It would be of great help to find these documents.
