Di Ann -- Thanks for your reply. Since we have had a little snow here, I do understand you not being able to move your car, etc. No apologies needed! Glad to hear that the Newsletter has been mailed, and am looking forward to it. Yes, I have a lot of information, but most of it would probably not be of interest to the Vicks. As most others are doing, I assume, I am working on many branches of my family tree all at the same time. My approach may be unorthodox, but it is simply to accumulate and record information as it comes to hand, then my plan is to start following trails through my family tree until I have exhausted leads on one trail, then start on another. Most of what I have on the Vicks (and Sikes) is what my mother recorded (on scraps of paper and in a ledger she kept), with various newspaper clippings and old letters from her brothers and sisters. In fact, the primary reason I joined the list and JVFOA was to obtain information either confirming or refuting some of the information she had recorded before she died in 1994. I will, as you suggested, send you any information that seems to be of some interest to the group, for you to evaluate for publication, as I come across it. Sorry to say, my mother did not get many of the family papers, bible, etc., and I don't really know what happened to them. Again, thanks for the answer. Will be looking forward to the Newsletter and the Book. It's a pity the JVFOA meeting won't be held in Fort Wayne again, though. This time I know about it and would attend.
