Kristi, Mrs. O. Vick Hines STEWART of Sulphur Springs, TX said in a letter to me written 14 May 1992, "Edward C 6 Vick (my forebearer) and Henry M 6 Vick moved to Fannin Co. TX where they were carpenters... Owned lots & built houses in Bonham TX. Edward & Henry on tax rolls Fannin Co. 1857....Henry M 6 Vick came to Hop. Co. 1860 - 1870." She also said "Edward & Sarah's last child Edward C., Jr. was born 1863 Dec; d. March 1870 in Collin Co....On 4 Dec 1863 Edward & Sarah sold the homestead, Bonham. Edward disappears from records. I could not find him on the mortality records. I found the little boy. Evidently he did not die at the same time. One dau. Beatrice mar. 1874 in Grayson Co. TX. 1880 census in Hopkins Co. TX incomplete. 1900 Sarah, widow of Edward, was living with son Judge Douglas 7 Vick (my grandfather) - Hopkins Co. TX. Henry M 6 Vick came to Hop. Co. 1860 - 1870." O. Vick Hines; "Vick Families Descendants of Joseph, VA, 1675"; (Sulphur Springs, 1986); p. 83 says Henry moved to TX sometime between 1854 and 1858. She says Henry was on the tax rolls of Fannin Co., TX, from 1857 to 1860. Further, she says "On 3 Mar. 1880 Henry M. Vick and wife Hulda gave to Turner S.E. Vick for one dollar 20 acres in Hopkins Co., TX, on the head of Cedar Creek a branch of the Sabine River (Hop. Cp. Bk. 12, p. 500)...On 5 May 1890 Henry M. Vick was made guardian of the minor children of his son Lycurgas who died in 1886. On 19 Nov. 1895 H.M. Vick and wife H.A. sold 50 acres to C.B. Hyde (Bk.26, p. 178). This is the last record of Henry M. Vick in the court records and he does not appear on the 1900 census." Regards, Larry
