Don't claim to be a Heraldry expert, but, if I understand what little I know about it at all, there are a couple of things to consider. 1) Isn't the right to bear the arms (Crest, Coat of Arms, etc.) limited to the oldest son who bears the name? 2) Aren't only those who "bear the name" (i.e. whose name is really Vick), entitled to a voice in any discussion about it. In other words, wouldn't it be out of place for any one with the surname of "Landers" for example, to actively enter any such discussion? If you want to talk about the "Landers" crest, Coat of Arms, etc., that's another story. As Di Ann said, hate to sound stuffy about this, but some things have to be done in the proper manner, or we all tend to lose perspective. Personally, I'll voice an opinion on such things Only If You Drag It Out Of Me. It's your party, and while I may support whatever you do financially or in other ways, IT IS YOUR DECISION TO MAKE. As the fellow says, "That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it!" Jack Landers
