I don't know about many of the other areas named after Vick's, but if Vicksburg, Florida is the one I know, you may need to do some real digging. On Highway 77, just north of Lynn Haven, Florida (One of the few cities in the south to have a monument to the Union soldiers. It's a long story and I'll only tell it if someone expresses interest. The story about the statue of the boll weevil is shorter.) I've driven through that area many a time, when I was living in the pan-handle of Florida, and often wondered about it, since the only sign of life in that area is the forestry watch tower. Oh, and the sign on the highway that announces the location as Vicksburg. Ron
