Trudy, I understand the Braswell Memorial Library in Rocky Mount has a great genealogy room. The Tar River Connection Genealogy Society has their meetings there. Tim Rackley spoke at their last meeting and I know the library has some of his books. I hope you have time to go by Josiah and Mary A. W. Vicks homeplace on hwy 58 Northwest of Nashville. It's at the intersection of Vick Rd. (SR 1302). All that's left of Josiah and Mary's house is a brick chimney at the trailer park. Across the street is Lucian Lycurgus Vick's ole house. Josiah and Mary's gravesites are back of that house towards the woods. Hopefully it is in better condition now than when we were there Thanksgiving.
