I have kept quiet here in Eastern New Mexico. Lubbock paper said yesterday that Jan. 2000 will long be remembered in our area as every day except two have been record highs for this time of year. We had a little mist and a light shower Christmas morning, a little snow one morning the first of December and that is all the moisture we have had all winter. If this continues, I look for the few fruit trees we have here to start blooming very soon. Then we will have a good frost and kill the blooms and ruin the fruit. I don't complain. I love warmer weather, but I could do without the wind we have been getting. Norene in Portales, NM
