Elaine, Rowland Via, who married Nancy Sneed, was a son of William Via (of Nelson Co., Va.) and his wife, Phebe. This William Via was a son of John Via of Amherst. In William Via's Revolutionary War pension application, Rowland was listed as one of his children. Jeff Viar
