In reading Jewell's posted letter and doing a little math I submit this. Jewell: Thanks. The 1820 census would put this Robert at age born in 1794 (using age 26.) The 1850 census Robert at age 63 born 1787. 7 years differance, Either date being born in Franklin would eliminate my William and Phebe living in Amherst. The 1850 has a A.J Via age 9 b Floyd (b 1841). In the 1807 tax rolls, below, if Robert Vie became tithable at age 16, this would put birth abt 1791. Someone sent these tax roll a while back. Franklin Co. year 1807 that Jeff mentioned.
