William stated in his Rev War pension claim that he was born in 1756 in King and Queen Co., Virginia. King and Queen county was created in 1691 from New Kent. I am not familiar with all the records that may exist for King and Queen County but believe they have land records beginning in 1782. Have you looked at these records to see if there were any Viars etc in that county at that time? From what little I know about William it does not appear as though his parents made to move to North Carolina so maybe you could find something in the land records of King and Queen County. William supposedly had a brother David according to his pension record. Yet I haven't been able to find him in North Carolina. I wonder if he went back to Virginia. Judy
