Edna, No....I have not found anything that gives the name of John's wife. So while were on the subject here's a few more things that nag at me. 1. We do not have an accurate way of determing John's probable birth year. 2. No documentation has surfaced that I am aware of that gives the name of John's wife. 3. If John was born in 1710 and wrote his will in 1781 it's probable that Susanah and Mary Ann were in their late 20's or early 30's. Women were generally married much earlier than that. Could these have been daughter-in-laws? 4. Daughter Susanah was supposedly married to a Spradling? Where is this documentation? 5. Documentation for the maiden names of the wives David, John, and William Via, sons of John. 6. If John, son of John had children as many researchers believe he did, why did he not mention them in his will of 1824 but named David and Robert Moore heir to his land after wife Mary died. >From the "accepted" lineage of these early lines in the Amherst, Franklin, Nelson county I feel quite certain we have some of these lines mixed up. But so far, try as I may I cannot pin point where the problem is. So as usual the search must go on. Hopefully something will surface that will help us out. Judy
