Trying to find living descendants of Robert Thompson and Jean Via to prove this line, I am finding that the family is married back several times to the same line. How does this affect the DNA findings. If someone goes back to Robert Thompson and Jean Via say two, three or four times does the cause problems???? William

William, I do not think this will affect the Y-DNA on Robert Thompson family line. Remember the Y-DNA comes ONLY from the father's to their sons, not the mother's side of the family. Elaine =^..^=
