He was retired from C&O Railway. He was a member of Brotherhood of Railway Carmen of America and Beech Run Baptist Church, Hinton. Surviving: sons, Donald of Hinton, Howard of Roanoke, Va., Norman of Hopewell, Va.; daughters, Eloise Richmond of Jumping Branch, Mary June Cole of Shady Spring, Norma Jean Bennett of Baltimore; brothers, Earnest and Letha, both of Hinton; sisters, Thelma Wiekel of Union, Effie Lilly of Columbus, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Home, Hinton, with the Rev. Carl Edwards and the Rev. Obra Angel Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Restwood Memorial Gardens, Hinton. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
