In studying the processioning records, land tax records, and personal property tax records I hope we will have some success in placing these early Via's in their correct lines. This may be impossible but we can give it a good try. Here are names in Hanover in the early years that I don't have documentation on to place them correctly: Edmund Via Gilson Via John Via Josiah Via Littleberry Via Pleasant Via Robert Via Jr. William Via (the 3rd to appear in the processioning records) In Amherst, Nelson, Buckingham, and Franklin Counties: Gideon born 1730 John who had 4 sons and 2 daughters. John Via Sr. Augusta County: David Via who married Frances Stringer King and Queen County and later Wilkes Co., North County William Via David Via (named as brothers) Is there anyone else you can think of we need to try and identify? I'm sure we all have opinions on which line the above named may fit into but I'd sure like to find documentation where possible. If no documentation exists I'd at least like to reach educated conclusions but by explanations. Judy
