Their Certificate to obtain a marriage license lists James M and Eiza Batton as parents of the wife. Before C.C. died on May 8, 1906 they appear to have had 15 children. The first of whom was William Alexander (who I believe is Elaine's ancestor)on February 9, 1873. Their second seems have been your Anna Belle Via born August 2, 1874 in Whitehall, Albemare County Virginia. Your Ohio birth on the same day does provide a more challenging inference than the one proposed by Elaine.
