Good Evening, Group!!! For those of you on the Daniel Maupin line I would like to post this VERY STRANGE STORY that just came to my attention this week. For over fifteen years I looked for Barthomew Spence and his wife Eliza Maupin, daughter of George Webb Maupin, son of Jesse Maupin. Several others looked also but could never find what happend to them after they married April 22, 1839 in Williamson Co. TN. Last Monday I received an email asking me if I knew anything about Barthomew Spence. I was shocked!!!! Emailed the lady and told her I had been looking all these years and was about to give up. She wrote back telling me she was a descendant and gave me the line and descendants down to her. This opened up a whole new line for me to work on. After working on the line many many hours I found this. Eliza Maupin's sister Sarah Maupin who married James Towlin (Townlin) had a daughter Margaret Towlin who married Clayton Overstreet. I had worked on Clayton Overstreet before and found that their two sons married two Victor sisters who were the grandaughters of Garton Bennett Maupin. Unbelieveable!!! They probably never knew they were related. I had just established about year ago that Garton was the son of Matthew Maupin, son of Gabriel Maupin and Ann Ballard of White Hall. Even more strange is that these two families Townlins and Spences ended up just about sixty miles from where I now live. This will make the rest of the research easy to travel to and complete. William
That is really neat, Bill. Somehow or other, you always find the most interesting information. Denise ----- Original Message ----- From: "William R.
