FERRUM-Rena Lou Via Ingram, 75, of Ingramville, Ferrum, passed Saturday, June 3, 2006, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Ronald and Arlene Ingram of Henry. She was born in Patrick County June 20, 1930, to Jesse Nash Via and Nannie Lou Bryant Via. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Owen and Clinton Via, and a granddaughter, Nellie Len Ingram. A member of Union Primitive Baptist Church since 1972, she and her husband were caretakers for 17 years. She loved her church and attended regularly. She has fed many Primitive Baptist preachers in her home. She was a homemaker, who loved sewing and making crafts, quilts and baskets. She is survived by: her husband of 58 years, H.D. Ingram; two daughters and one son-in-law, Brenda I. Tatum, Arlene and Ronald Ingram; grandchildren, Robby Dee Tatum and wife Renee, Allan Jamie Ingram and wife Renea, Daniel Jessie Ingram and wife Katherine, Ronald Joseph (Joe) Ingram, and Neal Jordan Ingram; great-grandchildren, Allana Joy Ingram, Jacob Turner Ingram, Anna Len Ingram, Benjamin Scott Tatum, Ashley Nicole Tatum, and Abel Jesse Ingram; sisters and brothers, A. Neal Via of Fieldale, Katie Adaline Lane of Ferrum, Grant Kirmer Via of Fieldale, Eunice V. DeVane of Greensboro, Lennis V. Pickeral of Pulaski, Patsy V. Spencer of Ferrum, and Nancy V. Hancock of Statesville, N.C.; sisters in law, Estelle I. Jones of Henry, Marcella Ingram of Ferrum, and Grace Ingram of Rocky Mount; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service was conducted from Union Primitive Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, with Elder Clarence Stone and Elder Mark Terry officiating.
