Does anyone have any information on James Roland Viar? I have him listed as the son of David Via and Eliza Walton. I do not know who the parents of David Via were. David was in Appomattox County in census records through 1880. With the middle name of Roland it's possible this line might go back to Rowland Via and Nancy Sneed. I found James' middle name of Roland on-line at the Library of Virginia's Bible records section. He is listed in the Elam family Bible. This Bible was owned by Robert J. Goodman, a farmer near "Spout Springs, Virginia??" How James Roland Via is related is not clear. In 1920 Appomattox Co., Virginia census James Roland Via was in the household of Robert J. Goodman.
