Good Evening, Via Group!!! Exciting night for me. Found the family of Susannah Thompson, daughter of Robert Thompson and Jean Via. Her husband was John Statham. They were listed on the 1785 Census of Albemarle Co., but disappeared son thereafter. Well the went to the same place many of the Albemarle Co. VA people went. Elbert Co. GA. I have been there doing work at the courthouse, but did not know of this connection at the time, that was about 11 years ago. Names are matching Like Thompson Nathaniel Statham. Will progress through the census records and fill out the entire family and check the online sources for marriages and deaths. Time will tell if this is a good documentable line of the Via family.
