He served in the company that Gideon and David did but was he another son of David Via and Frances Stringer? If so he would have been the oldest as there are no records that I know of binding him out. At any rate since he was in Laird's company and Gideon and David were bound out to David Laird you would think he would be a very close relative. But I have not found one other record of any kind relating to a Reuben Via born early enough to have served in the Revolutionary War. Judy
