Judy: Have you ever ran across this book and information below? I feel there may be at least 2 proven Gideons and 1 or 2 that need to be identified. John Via sons Gideon, John-Sarah pension # W3896 and William pension # S9513,we know enlisted in Amherst and served some time at Albermarle Barracks. Evidently this Gideon did not live to file a claim for pension. There is the Gideon in Galliao Ohio (David"s son ? see also Gideon below) who was approved for a pension # S6311. His application indicates he enlisted in Augusta (place of residence). I do not see a birth place or reference to parents or spouse.
