    3. DOYLESVILLE --- Roy Macon Sherrill, 46, died Saturday in his Doylesville home. He was a supple clerk at the Ix Mills. A native of Albemarle County, Mr. Sherrill was the son of the late Charlie Lee and Mary Lucy Marrs Sherrill. Mr. Sherrill is survived by his wife, Virginia Via Sherrill. Other survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Vergie Lee Shields of Charlottesville, Mrs. Pauline Beldon of Annandale and Mrs. Mary Lee Jacks of Columbia, Ga.; four brothers, LeRoy Sherrill of Washington D.C., Clarence Sherrill of Arlington, Earnest Sherrill of Richmond and Freddie Sherrill of Manassas. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Lake Road Church of God on Albemarle Lake Road, the Rev. Richard Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Church cemetery. Preddy-Teague Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Virginia Via Sherrill, 69, of Route 2, Crozet died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 1990 in a local hospital. Born Aug. 3, 1921, in Albemarle County, she was the daughter of Mrs. Katie Maupin Via Sandridge of Crozet and the late Walter Edward Via. Her husband was the late Roy Macon Sherrill, who died in 1974. Mrs. Sherrill was a member of Lake Road Church of God and had retired after 41 years as a weaver for Frank Ix & Sons. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Thelma and Avis Wyant of Crozet. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Teague Chapel with the Rev. Leamon R. Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Moriah United Methodist Church Cemetery, White Hall. The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home, 2260 Ivy Road. The family suggests memorials in the form of contributions to Western Albemarle Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 188, Crozet 22932.
