    3. Charles Walker Via, seventy-two, died Saturday morning at two-fifty at his home near Mt. Sidney. He had been an invalid twelve years. The funeral will be held at Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren, Weyers Cave, Sunday at three o'clock, conducted by the Rev. F. G. Senger, assisted by the Rev. Murray L. Wagner. Burial will be in Union chapel cemetery. Mr. Via was a native of Albemarle County, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thompson Via, but had been a resident of the Mt. Sidney section about forty-years. He was a well known farmer. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elnora Daughtry; three children, Miss Vertie Via, Staunton; Mrs. Mary Foley, Baltimore; Rawlie Via, at home; seven grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Via was a member of Union chapel United Brethren church. FUNERAL OF C. W. VIA Mount Sidney, Nov. 10 --- Funeral services for Charles Walker Via, who died at his home near Mt. Sidney, Saturday at two-fifty a.m. were held from Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren Sunday at three p.m., conducted by his pastor, the Rev. Franklin G. Senger, assisted by the Rev. Murry L. W. Wagnor, pastor of the Pleasant Valley church. Interment was in Union Chapel cemetery. Mr. Via, who had been an invalid for about seventeen years, died at the age of seventy-two years, eight months and three days. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thompson Via of Albemarle County, and on Dec. 21, 1899, married Miss Elnora Daughtry, who survives with the following children, Miss Verdie Via, Staunton; Mrs. Mary Foley, Baltimore; Rawlie A. Via, at home; grandchildren, Kerin, Hampton, David, and Leatrice Foley; Bettie, Larissa, June, and Shelvia Via. Pallbearers were; active, Clyde Craig, Hugh Meyers, George Foley, Walter Rankin, P. H. Cline, W. P. McAllister, Ernest Shreckhise and August Altaffer; honorary, Jacob Miller, A. C. Wilson, William Layne, John Cromer, E. J. Evans, John Carrol, D. W. Wampler and D. L. Foley.
