Mrs. Beulah Myrtle Via, 78, widow of Vincent R. Via Sr., of 1506 Madison St., died Tuesday afternoon (Jan. 2) in Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville, N.C. She was born Crimora on June 20, 1911, a daughter of Garnett and Susan Hoy Wright. She was a member of Waynesboro Church of the Brethren. Survivors include two sons, Vincent R. Via Jr. of Waynesboro and Rodger L. Via of Greenville; two brothers, Christopher Wright of Barren Ridge and Stuart Wright of Christiansburg; one sister, Mrs. Burl T. (Emma) Via of Waynesboro; five grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Waynesboro chapel of Etter Funeral Home by the Rev. Byron Flory. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
