WAYNESBORO --- Vincent Rudolph Via, 74, of 1506 Madison St. died 7:10 a.m. Sunday (Nov. 13, 1983) in Liberty House Nursing Home. He was born in Greenwood Aug. 20, 1909, son of Hiram Pate and Annie Leslie Berry Via. He was a retired printer with Humphries Press Inc. He was a member of Waynesboro Church of the Brethern. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Beulah Wright Via; two sons, V. Rudolph of Waynesboro and Rodger Lee Via of Greenville, N.C.; a brother, Robert O. Via of Waynesboro; three sisters, Mrs. Lucy V. Krimm of Clifton Forge and Mrs. Sadie Belle Hall and Mrs. Annie V. James, both of Richmond; five grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Waynesboro Chapel of Etter Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert E. Houff, with burial in Riverview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Teddy and Bill Campbell, Irvin Judd, Bobby Shifflett and Eugene and Wallace Snead. Honorary pallbearers will be coworkers at Humphries Press. The family will receive friends from 7-8 tonight at the funeral home. The family requests memorials contributions be made to the Memorial Fund of Waynesboro Church of the Brethern.
