The below document is to show documentation that my Great Grandmother's correct name was Hannah Prowel (BAIRD) VIER. Thomas L. VIER born 1838 Tn. mar Hannah Prowel Baird on 8-8-1858 in Dekalb Co. Tn. (LDS record show GGrandmother as Hannah Prowel. ) Son, William R. Vier, my Grandfather, born Sept 3 1861 Dekalb Co. Tn. died Mar 5 1924 in Sherman, Grayson Co, Texas. His obit shows mother as Hannah Baird. Pg 192 Josiah Baird et als VS: William Baird et als} O Bill to sell land Received of B.F.C. Smith Clerk of the County Court of Smith County & Commissioner in the above case Nine dollars & 96 cents in full of my distributive share in the estate of my deceased Father Ruben Baird who was a son & heir of Josiah Baird Sr. Decd ariseing from the sale of the Dower tract of land belonging to said estate, sold and distributed under the decree of the Smith County Court.
