    2. Maupin Reunion
    3. Good Evening, Via & Maupin Groups!!!! Well, I answered two Statham messages on message boards and did I ever get a responce. One fellow has sent 27 pages of correspondence with everyone he as work with. The other fellow will be send his tomorrow or so. At first glance it looks real accurate. The names Dabney, Harris and Thompson are used several times in the descendants as first and middle names. John Statham's father is reported to be Love Statham and his mother Martha Meriweather. I think this is probably correct since a Mary Meriweather owned land next to Robert Thompson in the 1756 era. These Statham people are real workers. They have wills and census records. Looks real promising. William

    2. Greetings, I've been out of town almost 2 months with the Air Force & wanted to get right back into the swing of things. Still looking for information on where my Nicholas Viar came from. 3. Hi Helen, I was catching up on some of these emails and I saw that you have a copy of the "via" bible. Do you have it on disk or anything, or is it copied that I may purchase a copy from you? My father is Henry S Via, son of Eliza J and Thomas Via. Tom was killed on the early 30's (when my dad was born). I was just curious to know if there is any info on Thomas because we know little about him. I discovered today that they had taken the birth of Algernon Tyree Maupin and added the death of Algernon Tyree Maupin, II, 1927. They are both buried there according to obit notices as well as the the wife and mother. Why don't we check the 1910 census and see if she is on it. 2. Maupin Reunion
    3. Good Evening, Via Group!!! Exciting night for me. Found the family of Susannah Thompson, daughter of Robert Thompson and Jean Via. Her husband was John Statham. They were listed on the 1785 Census of Albemarle Co., but disappeared son thereafter. Well the went to the same place many of the Albemarle Co. VA people went. Elbert Co. GA. I have been there doing work at the courthouse, but did not know of this connection at the time, that was about 11 years ago. Names are matching Like Thompson Nathaniel Statham. Will progress through the census records and fill out the entire family and check the online sources for marriages and deaths. Time will tell if this is a good documentable line of the Via family. 2. Via, Warren
    3. The Dora buried in Warren may not be as strange as it seems. Greene is to the north and west of Albemarle. My part of the family moved from that part to Batesville, VA. There were quite a few Via's in the Batesville area prior to and just after the Civil War. The main roads in that area ran either north and east to Charlottesville, North and west to Waynesboro- Staunton, and south and east to Scottsville and the James River. There are roads that connected Scottsville to Buckingham Court House. These would have been the normal lanes of travel in that time. -----Original Message----- From: Maupin Reunion [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, November 06, 2002 3:01 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [VIA-L] Mathew T.
