My husband's g grandmother was Martha Frances VESTAL, b.ca.1873(need date) in Pittville, Shasta Co., CA. She was dtr of William A. VESTAL, b. 25 Nov 1922, Surry Co., NC and he started for St. Louis MO, just 5 days after his marriage and joined a covered wagon train headed for CA 9 Oct, 1851, and the rest of family followed in 1852 in oxen train to Yuba Co., CA. They were from a long line of Quakers going back to PA, before coming over from Eng in mid-1600's.
