Crystal, I checked the land records as you suggested and did not find my VESTALs. There was a VESTAL but not one that is related to that I know of. My grand mother father was Madison Thomas VESTAL. He was born February 1852 in Illinios. According to the 1910/20 census his father was born in North Carolina. His mother appears to have been born in Canada. Nice coincidence that the middle name is Thomas and the North Carolina connection. This is about all I know about Stella's father and grand father. I have a little more data on her brothers and sisters. If any of this looks like a possible connection, let me know. Wes Leiser
