    1. [VESTAL-L] RE: 5 Brothers
    2. Allen and Others, Allen, In response to your question about the 5 brothers, everyone responded that I must have been mistaken because there were only the two brothers and one died on the journey over from England. I am not sure why your family (about the 4 brothers) and mine (about the 5 brothers) are the only ones that have heard this story. When I was the only one asking about this, I thought maybe someone had passed down the wrong information or got it mixed up with another branch of my family. But when you said you had been told a similar story I thought there might be something to it. So, if anyone else out there has heard something similar please let us know. It could be that this set of brothers came over later. Would be glad to hear any response to this. My ggg-grandfather David William Vestal married Sarah Delphine McMasters in 1818 in Randolph County, NC, my gg-grandfather Lindsey David Vestal moved to Yadkin County, NC were most have remained or live in the adjacent counties. Even my father (Vestal) was born in Yadkin County, North Carolina but now lives in Forsyth County near me. Since my family has been in the area since the first Vestal's settled here, I had given the story some credit until I got negative responses to my question. Again, I would love for anyone to respond that may have some information about other brothers coming over. Allen, I am sorry I could not give you a direct answer to your question but maybe we can get a respond from this. Thanks in advance to all that may have some information to share or even want to share some family tales. B. Vestal B.
