    3. I don't have enough documentation yet, but my husband's direct gggggg grandparents were William VESTAL 11 (VESTALL/VASTALL) and Elizabeth MERCER. The Quaker calendar was different (refer to Quaker records)and the sixth month you say could be for Sep. (?) Supposedly some of the dates were found to have been copied from the Friends minutes, and at other times, written as found in other records, so as to the confusing of the correct dates in many cases. I have William 11 was b. ca. 16 Sep, 1691/92, Birmingham Twshp, Chester Co., PA and m. 9 Sep, 1716 Westtown, Chester Co., PA. and d.ca. Mar, 1745/46, Frederick Co., VA Elizabeth had to have d. after 1751, as after William 11 died, and in 1751, she and 2 of her sons(William and Thomas) went to NC settling near Cane Creek. I also have she was b.ca. 14 Aug, 1694, Northhampton, ENG, and she m.(1) Joseph Woodward and he d. in 1715 after they were married near 3 years. I have she and Wm had 8 children, and my husband's line then goes through Thomas VESTAL 1. I have seen a few sources, but do not have all the documentation on the births, deaths, etc. yet. The Shasta Co. Library Genealogical Section has a book entitled Pioneers of Yesteryears, written 1977, (this replaces the written manuscript of 1975 entitled THE VESTALS, which was supposedly destroyed by this 1977 writing) both compiled by Frances A. Gassaway, (she was the secretary of the Ft. Crook Historical Soc when she compiled the book, and had interviewed Tom Vestal, the veterinarian at the time there in that area.) Ask for Reference#979.424 in Shasta Co., CA library. That is about all I can contribute for now......Happy Trails, J in MT Also, visit my 4 personal home pages on spirituality and genealogy: http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Crete/3718/ ----- Original Message ----- From: David G.
