Hi, I am looking for for anyone with info on Joab or possibly Jacob Vestal who lived in Deleware County, IN. In 1830 census of Deleware County he was listed as Joab. He was also coroner for the county about this time. Wonder if he is son of David Vestal who lived in Randolph County IN a neighbor to Deleware Co. A possible sibling would be Juliann Vestal who married Jacob Coon in Deleware Co. Info says that Juliann was daug of David. Joab in 1840 is living in Benton Co Ark. With him in Benton County is Z. Vestal. Joab moved to Lamar Co TX and it seems died there under the name Jacob Vestal. He is in the 1850 mortality schedule of Lamar Co. The mortality scedule shows him to be 42 and that hie died in June. In 1850 census is Sophronia Vestal (his widow) and family. One daug who is 10 years old gives birthplace as Ark. That is how we know they were in Ark. Sophronia (the widow) was born accroding to census in 1810 in NY. I have had trouble trying to figure who Joab's parents where. Can anyone out there help?
