    3. I think I read a quaker record somewhere that says she died about 1818. I have inquired at Caesar's Creek Burying Ground where she is supposedly buried, but the caretakers have no record anymore. The quakers generally did not believe in marking their gravesites in a flamboyant and permanent manner;very small simple wooden markers sometimes which would of course rot away quickly. Mary and William left Frederick Co. Va, abut 1748 and next lived in Orange Co. NC where more of their children were born, some married. Then about 1767 they began moving to the 96th District South Carolina (Edge field, Abbeville, Newberry and one more county, I can't think of right now..made up the 96th District). William died in the fall of 1772 or the early Spring of 1773, before John's marriage to Elizabeth (Betty) Pugh. I think Rachel Arnold (who married George) and her mother Mary left South Carolina about 1808 or 1809..I am not looking at any of my research notes these years though.
