I know only that they married out of unity so William was not a member of the Quaker faith. They moved to Newberry Co., SC, where Mary is listed as a member and when her children moved to Ohio, the records say Rachel Arnold and her "ancient mother Mary Jay" were given certificate to a meeting in Ohio. Obviously, she lived a very long time. I have never been able to find a death date for her. DJ
