Hi Barbara Joel Franklin Vestal married Elizabeth Vestal (daughter of Thomas Vestal & Grace Swaim) April 17, 1870. Margaret A. Vestal married Jesse Vestal. (Son of Thomas Vestal & Grace Swaim.) No date of marriage. Data received from Eunice Vestal gives the name of the son of David Vestal and Margaret Hodgin as William David Vestal. She has David underlined, I suppose, to indicate he went by the name David. The information I received from Eunice indicates that in all her research she has not been able to find the parents or siblings of Thomas Vestal married to Grace Swaim. I think that the person or persons who wish to find his parents will have to go to the Surry County Court House and spend lots of time going through many old files in the basement or wherever they store old files.
