I have a State of Indiana certificate stating that Joab Vestal was elected Delaware County Coroner for a period of two years. The certificate was dated 15 August 1829. Also I have the 11 April 1828 Delaware County marriage record for Juliann Vestal and Jacob B. Coon. "History of Randolph County" has a paragraph about David Vestal. It stated that David was born in North Carolina (should this have been Virginia?). Further, it stated that David had five children and that he left Randolph County for White Lick south of Indianapolis in 1831. Does anyone know where White Lick is? I've searched for David Vestal's will in several Counties around Indianapolis without success. Since David was titled Esq. in the 1830 census he must have been a lawyer and threrfore probably had a will. The conclusion that David was the father of Juliann is somewhat supported by the fact that Stony Creek (David's location in Randolph County) is just across the Delaware County line.
