    2. I have on loan from a cousin that lives in Boonville, Yadkin County, the book listed below. Some of you may already have the information but for the ones that don't, I hope it will help. ............... Source: Section 1, page 1 of the Yadkin County Heritage--North Carolina Volume I. Published by the Yadkin County Society Yadkinville, North Carolina 27055, 1981. Frances Harding Casstevens, Editor. The Formation Of Yadkin County. Yadkin County was formed from Surry County in 1850. An act ratified on January 28, 1851, established officials and a court system for Yadkin County. Alfred W. Martin, William C. DeJournette, Solomon Vestal, John Shores, Sr., and Thomas Martin were appointed commissioners to select a location for a permanent county seat which should be laid out as a town. The courts were to be held at Dowelltown until a courthouse could be erected. ............ There is a section about the Vestal Family Origin by Eunice M. Vestal. Also The Vestal Family: Descendants of Daniel and Anna, The Joel Franklin Vestal Family, History of the Hampton Monroe Vestal Family, and Sanford and Lula Bovender Vestal Family. There is a picture of a Vestal Home, and an article about a Vestal Plantation. Under the heading of Men's Occupations in 1850, section 160, p. 154, lists: Messer A. Vestal - Merchant Bartholomew Vestal, Jr. - Carpenter Bartholomew Vestal - Iron Master Under heading of Other Tobacco Factories, section 72, p. 86: in Footville, Yadkin Co. J.H.
