Hi! I am actively researching the Jays from the Mary Vestal and William Jay line who moved to North Carolina and South Carolina and Westward, but not Northward. Don't know much about the Vestals yet..but will read your correspondence with interest. I hope to finish my concentration with my Jays in the near future and turn to other sides of my family like the Vestals. Does anyone know where this name originated and if it has a meaning? I never find this surname mentioned in surname books. Vanessa [email protected] wrote: > > Hi Wes, > > Thanks for the census link.
