I'm also researching this line and can NOT find a connection. I've also seen reports that William was a Quaker from Huntingtonshire, England. I've ordered the Quaker B/M/B records from there and can find no mention of the name of Vestal (in any spelling). I've also gotten copies of Besse's "Sufferring of the People Called Quakers" for the same area (and others) and can find no Vestal. I've found several web sites for the Vassalls/Vastals/Etc and there is a William (that doesn't appear to have been researched) but the time period seems wrong. I have been very frustrated by the leap made to connect our William to this other family with no proof. I'd be willing to work with any of you in trying to find his parents.
