Hello, I sent out to the list a combined marriage file I was working on. I have not received a copy back, and was wondering if anyone got it. It is large, so I don't know it that is the problem. Someone let me know if you get it, and whether it has been truncated or not. Barbara

Looking for a Priscilla Vestal born May 2, 1818 who married Thomas King. According to census she was born in NC but had moved to the Tallapoosa Co., AL area. I believe she had a relative who served in the 47th AL Infantry. The family also moved to Campbell Co., GA and then to Boone Co., MO. Sound familiar to anybody? Rene
No, I don't know who his parents are, that is the first record I have of him, his marriage to Rachel Dougan. I have seen so many William Vestals I didn't know which line he may come from. Jean
Hi cousins, I have some information about Thomas Curran Vestal and Obedience Williams. They and their children are on the 1840 and 1850 censuses of Jackson County, Missouri. Their son, Billy, married Sarah Hutchins in Jackson County. She is on the 1850 census there with her mother and siblings. Their daughter, Rebecca, did not marry Martin Howlet. She is on the 1840 Jackson County census with her parents but she died 8/18/1845. Their daughter, Elizabeth, did not marry George D. Long. She is not on the 1840 census because she died 4/3/1834 in North Carolina. I think that the Elizabeth who married George D. Long was the daughter of Solomon Vestal. I don't think that Thomas and Obedience's daughter, Sarah Ann married Charles Metcalf as she went to Missouri with her parents. There was not a son named Hobson Vestal. Hobson was part of the name of their son, Lemuel Hadley Hobson Vestal. That's all for now. Barbara Vestal Martin
I have seen the Dougan name before but do not know if anyone has connected it as yet. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, September 06, 2000 12:11 PM Subject: Re: [VESTAL-L] Vestal NC, MS, TX > No, I don't know who his parents are, that is the first record I have of him, > his marriage to Rachel Dougan.
