    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: gvswearingen Surnames: Vezey, Vessey, Vesey, Waples Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.vesey/26.1.3/mb.ashx Message Board Post: First, the reference to "Hamilton Waples" is actually to "Alexander Hamilton Waples," who was born 03 Feb 1810 in Sussex Co, DE (d. IL) and married Nancy Vesey/Vezey (b. 1820; m. 21 Mar 1835, Pickaway Co, OH), d/o John Vesey and Elizabeth Waples (1795-1831). The latter were both of Pickaway Co, OH. They were apparently the parents of Zadoc (Zadock/Zadox) Vesey, Nancy, and John. I am descended from William Vezey Sr and Jr, both originally of Sussex, DE. Gideon, John, William Jr, Noble, Samuel (I can't recall if I have proof to all these relationships) ended up in close proximity in OH be it in Pickaway, Fayette, Defiance, Marion Counties. William Jr was married to Patience Waples, so I am a Waples descendant starting with Peter Waples of Warwicke Plantation, Indian River Hundred, Sussex Co, DE, USA and originally of Walple, St Peters, Norfolk, England. This thread is a bit old, but there are probably a few Vesey/Vezey/Vessey and Waples researchers out there still. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
