    3. The Vermont Tribune, Ludlow, Friday, August 9, 1889 Weston 8/9/1889 Among the visitors in town that we overlooked were Rev. T. P. FROST and wife, from Brooklyn, N. Y, at Mrs. FROST's parents'--Nathan HOLT's. Frank MANSUR is home on a vacation from Providence, R. I., where he is learning teh machinst trade of BROWN & SHARPE. Herman RICHARDSON is spending a week of his two weeks vacation here. We regret that it is not for a longer time. He will go back with his parents, who are now here, the guests of T. H. RICHARDSON, to Acworth, N. H., to spend the remainder. Joseph CLINE is digging the cellar for his new house. A. H. DRURY has improved his store piazza by laying a new floor. A handsome guide-board has been put up at the road leading to Landgrove, near Wm. SHEPPARD's; whether by the town fathers or some enterprising citizen, we have not learned. J. N. WAITE took a trip to Brownsville and vicinity, Wednesday and Thursday, with a large load of tubs. Miss Jennie HOWE is visiting in Chester. Mrs. J. M. FOSTER and daughter left town, early Wednesday morning; their destination we have not been informed of. A child of the late Mrs. Emma FRANCES (nee TENNEY) was brought here for burial, last Tuesday. Those who waited for the grass to grow, still find it growing; but on the back track. It is understood the Proctorsville base-ball club will play the Westons, here, the 17th inst.
