    3. The Vermont Tribune, Ludlow, Friday, August 9, 1889 Amsden 8/9/1889 Moss Alice BROWN, from Amesbury, Mass., is visiting at D. B. KENDALL's. Frank JACKSON received a very bad cut in his head and other severe injuries, last Friday, while handling a colt for J. W. HAGAR. Mrs. L. S. CABOT and two children, from Boston, are at Bradford GRIMES'. Carrie W. RUSSELL, from New York, is again at her Summer residence near Downer's. A few from this place took in the excursion to Providence Island, the 6th inst. Alice HAGAR, Winnie KENDALL, and Sammie ADAMS, are making plans to attend Black River Academy, at Ludlow, this fall. Gertie BIXBY, having finished work at H. R. SQUIRES, will take a rest until Sept. 1st, when she intends going to M. C. STOCKIN's for the Winter. Bert PIERCE has made an engagement to go West, this Fall, and work during the Winter. Mrs. W. C. DICKINSON, from Jersey City, N. J., is at her father's--H. P. GROUT.
