The Vermont Tribune, Ludlow, Friday, August 2, 1889 West Windsor 8/2/1889 Supervisor DUNBAR, and wife, while on their way to Proctorsville to hold the teachers' examination, called at C. D. SHATTUCK's. Throught the mistake of pen or printer, we were made to say, last week, that F. W. SHATTUCK is from Winchester, N. H., whereas he is from Winchester, Mass. Mrs. James LAUNDRY and child, of Windsor, have been spending a few days a Prosper COOK's. Mrs. WILSON (nee Laura FAIRBANKS) and little son, of Abington, Mass., are visiting relatives in this vicinity. We have in our possession an old "History of the World" purporting to give events transpiring from the creation of the world to A. D. 1800. The book was printed in 1807, and is quite difficult to read for the letter f is made instead of s and there are many other peculiarities of spelling and printing. Horace HOOK of Granville has been visiting his brother, W. D. HOOK. A. B. NICHOLS recently treated us with apples grown last year that were as fresh as they would have been last winter.
