    2. Source, Rutland Daily Herald--July 31, 1942. 50th Anniversary of Stillwells' Wedding to Be Observed Sunday. A party in the form of a basket lunch picnic, will be held Sunday morning at 10 o'clock at the Knipes farm in East Clarendon for Mr. and Mrs. Leon W. Stillwell of 146 Maple street, this city to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Leon Stillwell of Mount Holly, born in 1871, married Zoe V. Pingrey of Mount Holly, born in 1877, in 1892. They resided in Mount Holly for a year after the wedding, then moved to North Shrewsbury where, for 31 years, Stillwell farmed and served as road commissioner and lister at various times. In 1924, the couple moved to Rutland and have resided here for 18 years. Stillwell has been employed by the Rutland Fire Clay company for the past 15 years. Mr. and Mrs. Stillwell have five children, 18 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. Transcribed by, Joan H. Bixby Genealogy not just a hobby, but a labor of love.
