Source, Rutland Daily Herald--July 24, 1942. Page 6. DELBER E. BISHOP. BRANDON, July 23--Delber E. Bishop, 72, died today after an illness of two days. Surviving are five sons, Rollin of Brandon, Harvey of Vergennes, Otis of Brandon, Dorous of Castleton and Guy of East Middlebury ; two daughters, Mrs. Harrison Crossman and Mrs.Edward Sanderson , both of Brandon ; two brothers, John of Castleton and Harvey of Saratoga, N.Y. ; a sister, Mrs. John Martendale of Castleton ; and 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at the home Saturday at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Walter F. Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View cemetery in Orwell. Source, Rutland Herald--July 27, 1942. Page 5. D. E. BISHOP. BRANDON, July 25--The funeral of Delber E. Bishop, who died Thursday, was held Saturday afternoon at his home here, the Rev. Walter H. Lewis officiating. Burial was in Mountain View cemetery in Orwell. Bearers were Ralph Blackmer, Elmer Morse, Frank Terrier, Ernest Bishop, Dale Bishop and Leo Bishop. Transcribed by, Joan H.
